I couldn't hide that I broke down in tears after receiving the news that I was going to be awarded the prestigious "L'Oreal UNESCO Award for Woman in Science Middle East Fellowship, 2018" in recognition to my significant contribution to science and for actively promoting science both locally and internationally. Receiving such an award was a great honor and the recognition and excitement of this award swiped my beloved country Oman.
